Bookkeeper (Remote Scheduling Flexibility) -- Remote -- WFH --

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform general bookkeeping duties and assist management and staff with administrative tasks as required.
  • Conduct daily cash reporting and weekly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
  • Input bank transactions into QuickBooks and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment coordination.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain documentation related to financial activities, including loans, grants, and assets.
  • Prepare QuickBooks entries in compliance with GAAP and our established chart of accounts.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including detailed schedule maintenance and account reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely filing of sales taxes.
  • Facilitate communication between the finance team and other departments.
  • Collaborate with our accountant to ensure tax compliance.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiarity with governmental compliance requirements.

Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications and programs.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet software.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills.

Physical Demands

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and communicate verbally.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
