Seeking experienced candidate for position of Building Engineer/HVAC Specialist at a prestigious midtown/Columbus Circle commercial office building. This is a NON-UNION position. An FDNY Fire & Life Safety Director (FLSD/F-89) certification will be required, as well as S-12 and S-13 status. While responsible for overall building maintenance, the bulk of the candidate’s time and focus will be on servicing and maintaining the HVAC system equipment to the highest standards. The HVAC system is served by a roof cooling tower serving 25 air handlers of various sizes throughout the building, and is monitored by a BMS system. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience at servicing HVAC equipment is required. Specific tasks include pulling strainers, lubricating fan shafts/motor bearings, replacing belts/filters, checking electrical connections/contactors, checking tower water levels/making adjustments, cleaning spray heads, etc.

The ability to interact with tenants on a regular basis is required.
