Job Description
As a business controller, you will be a member of a Finance team of five, with responsibility for overseeing aspects of the U.S and Canadian financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization through meticulous analysis and effective business partnering. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well with people at all levels both internal and external.
Responsibilities include:
The right applicant will bring a broad set of budgeting, cross functional collaboration and analytical skills and is open to a broad set of tasks within the finance department:
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure regulatory requirements.
Conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate the North American performance, identify trends, and assess areas for improvement. This includes analyzing key financial metrics, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.
Influencing commercial business decisions by creating KPI’s specific to customers and classes of trade.
Collaborate with the commercial team to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing explanations for deviations
Maintain compliance with federal contracts by conducting U.S. Census and Federal Business surveys
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Strong partnering skills incl. communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
Proven experience (5 years) in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
Experience in Pharma is preferred.
Thorough understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
