Piper Companies is hiring a Business Development Manager on both the Commercial IT and Health & Sciences staffing teams our Conshohocken, PA office. We are a rapidly growing staffing firm where you will be able to make an immediate impact on our business and earn generous, uncapped commission up to 20% of spread!


Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Build new business relationships with potential clients in either the Commercial IT or Life Sciences vertical.
  • Sell Piper’s staffing services (using a variety of methods, both virtual and in-person) to hiring managers.
  • Guide and lead your recruiting team on best practices for identifying talent, and screen recruiter submissions to job requisitions prior to sharing with clients.
  • Act as the “face of the company” in the Pennsylvania staffing market.
  • Utilize various Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and sales/staffing tools like Salesforce, TargetRecruit, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Bloomberg Government, Dice, Monster, to generate a pipeline and territory, set meetings with prospective clients, negotiating prices and services, and more.


Qualifications of the Business Development Manager:

  • 1+ year of recent experience performing new business development in an agency staffing environment, rather than exclusively managing/saturating existing accounts
  • Experience bringing in new logos to a staffing agency environment
  • Competitiveness and drive to succeed in a metrics-driven, commission-earning environment
  • Willingness to work on-site in our Conshohocken office 3-4 days per week; Fridays remote! (Candidates seeking primarily or 100% remote will not be considered)
  • Experience with CRM or ATS systems such as Salesforce, TargetRecruit, Bullhorn, JobDiva, iCIMS, or others


Compensation & Benefits for the Business Development Manager:

  • Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000/year (depending on experience level – potential flexibility for highly qualified candidates with 3+ years of recent staffing new business development experience)
  • Commission: Uncapped (tiered plan; more spread = higher commission percentage; max payout tier of 20%)
  • Quarterly & annual contest bonuses
  • $375/month auto allowance ($4,500/year)
