Grace is seeking a Change Management Leader to join our Supply Chain Center of Excellence team! This role reports to the Senior Director of the Supply Chain Center of Excellence located at our Columbia, Maryland location.
The Change Management Leader plays a pivotal role within the organization, instrumental in guiding and guaranteeing the successful outcome of significant transformational endeavors. This role involves the meticulous development and execution of detailed change management strategies and plans, specifically designed to address, and manage the human elements inherent in organizational change. The core objective centers on optimizing employee engagement and adoption rates, while simultaneously working to diminish any resistance to the changes being implemented. A critical aspect of this role involves the establishment and maintenance of clear, effective communication channels that span the entire hierarchy of stakeholders, thereby ensuring a solid foundation of support for the proposed changes.
Responsibilities- Craft tailor-made change management strategies that align with the organization's vision, goals, and the specific needs of each project, ensuring these strategies are robust enough to handle the complexities and scales of transformational projects.
- Identifying areas of potential resistance and developing proactive strategies to address and overcome these challenges. This might include targeted communication, education, and support structures to assist employees through the transition.
- Actively work to increase engagement levels across the organization, recognizing that employee buy-in is essential for the successful adoption of new processes, systems, and cultures. This involves understanding employee concerns, motivations, and the potential barriers to change they may face.
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities, integrating change management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices to support the project goals.
- Collaborate with project teams and leadership to identify potential people-related risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
- Establish comprehensive communication plans that detail when, how, and what information will be communicated to various stakeholder groups throughout the change process. Ensuring transparency and openness in all communications to build trust and support for the change.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand their perspectives and needs, ensuring their concerns are addressed, and their support is garnered for the change initiatives. This involves continuous dialogue and collaboration with key figures within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, psychology, human resources management or information technology with at least 10+ years’ experience in Change Management application / execution.
- Experience with large scale cultural change and business process programs that have led to high levels of employee adoption and minimal resistance.
- Strong analytical mindset to assess the impact of change, identify potential points of resistance, and develop effective strategies to address them.
- High levels of emotional intelligence to navigate the complex human dynamics of change, including empathy, social skills, and the ability to manage one's own and others' emotions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling the leader to convey complex messages clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- High level of personal resilience, adaptability to change, and the capability to handle ambiguity and complexity.
- CCMP certification or designation desired.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to cultural differences within the organization, and the ability to navigate and manage change in a globally diverse workplace.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms that support change management efforts, such as project management software, communication tools, and data analytics platforms.
