Meet Feed My Starving Children:

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.

FMSC meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive, and develop to their full potential.


About the Executive Director/CEO:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the organization's mission and objectives are met. The CEO will play a pivotal role in maintaining and fostering a healthy, Christ-centered organizational culture, defining strategic initiatives, and driving fundraising efforts


The Executive Director/CEO Responsibilities Include:

Cultivate a Healthy, Christ-centered Organizational Culture

  • Lead by example and embody FMSC’s Christian values, principles, and mission.
  • Foster a culture of respect, integrity, transparency, and collaboration among staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Promote personal and professional growth, well-being, and spiritual development among the team members.

Define and Execute Strategic Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to develop a clear and compelling strategic vision for the organization.
  • Translate the strategic vision into actionable plans and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and long-term goals.
  • Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring they remain on track and adapt as needed to changing circumstances.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs, services, and operations to drive continuous improvement and impact.

Drive Fundraising Efforts

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that encompasses donor cultivation and special events.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and supporters, both individual and institutional.
  • Oversee the management of financial resources to ensure fiscal sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to secure funding for critical projects and initiatives.


What You Bring:

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Executive Director/CEO:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Advanced degrees and certifications, preferred
  • 10+ years of leadership and management, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully fostering a healthy organizational culture

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into concrete action plans
  • Demonstrated expertise in fundraising and growth of organizations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution business strategies and operations is a plus
