Key Responsibilities:
Grow a team of domain experts within the research team.
Develop technical vision, long-term strategy, and set the research direction for the organization.
Create and innovate new machine learning architectures to solve complex problems.
Design and implement novel loss functions and optimization techniques from scratch.
Lead research portfolio, helping to identify long-term ambitious research goals as well as intermediate milestones.
Engage in the full model development cycle from conceptualization to deployment.
Remain up-to-date on ongoing foundational model research development activities in the industry.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in AI/ML model development, particularly with designing and implementing new architectures and optimization methods.
Strong mathematical background, capable of creating and refining loss functions and other core components from scratch.
10+ years of hands-on experience in large language model, NLP, and/or multimodal modeling, in both research and engineering development settings.
PhD, Masters, or equivalent experience in deep learning, artificial intelligence, or related technical field.
Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in AI.
Experience and knowledge of training language models.
