Job Description

Job Function: Performs engineering duties: plan, design and oversee construction. Researches and analyzes maps, blueprints, photos, reports, and other data to plan projects. Gathers information to prepare and present reports on project Civil engineering topics. Perform complex design engineering tasks and act as senior technical interface with project team, project manager and agencies. Responsible for meeting design intent, criteria, specifications, task cost and task schedule goals. Identifies technical design risks and recommends mitigating options.

Tasks Description:

• Coordinate with client to get base map set up.
• Continuous monitor and update of background.
• CAD Drafting with markups.
• Technical proficiency in CAD and Civil 3D drafting support.
• Assist in CAD problem troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage task efficiently and effectively.
• Support design task in documentation and QA/QC project delivery cycles.
• Ability to perform basic Civil 3D functions (surface creation, point management, profiles, line and curve tables).
• Ability to perform drawing sheet set up and layout for utility, improvement, demolition, grading and dimensioning plans with supervision.
• Ability to understand and review specification sections.
• Ability to manage CAD standards across client's requirements and coordinate across project team and agencies.
• Effective coordination skills with design team.
  
  

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• B.S. Civil Engineering.
• EIT minimum, CA Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• 5-10 yrs. of relevant work experience and proven results.
• Communication and collaboration skills with team.
• Ability to complete CAD related tasks efficiently and effectively.
• High proficiency in all aspects of civil engineering design elements.
• Ability to provide technical mentorship and training to junior CAD drafters.
• Strong aptitude and desire to update Civil engineering design skills.
