Clinical Data Analyst

Project Description

We are seeking a professional to join a 5-month remote contract working on the State of NC Medicaid System. The individual will collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to enhance population health outcomes in North Carolina.

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of clinical standardized code systems such as CPT, LOINC, and ICD-10.
  • Understanding of data quality best practices, governance, and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with health information exchange data standards, Electronic Health Record Systems' data architecture, and HL7 v2 and C-CDA messages.
  • Experience with clinical data ETL techniques, data verification, and data quality management.
  • Proficiency in analyzing processes, documenting requirement specifications, and developing clinical workflows.
  • Awareness of IT architectural principles and technical designs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in engaging with non-technical clients.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory compliance concerning Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Health Information Exchange (HIE).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, including Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as a team member on project teams.
