The Clinical Director is responsible for the administration and supervision of all clinical components of IDD services in Elwyn California, including all existing homes and those to be developed. Develop clinical protocols and procedures, training, and outcome-based measures. Oversee the implementation of the Human Rights Committee and Self-Advocacy Committee in conjunction with the Director of Quality Improvement for Elwyn CA under the direction of Elwyn Corporate and in cooperation with operations leadership.
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical supervision of Elwyn California’s IDD programs and clinical staff, including but not limited to all new admissions and reviewing all admissions packets; overseeing the development, monitoring, and implementation of behavior plans; and monitoring the accuracy and quality of client files to meet regulatory compliance and ensure quality client care
Interface with county and state agencies through in-person meetings, telephonically, and via electronic mail to review and discuss complicated cases with the objective of ensuring quality client care
Coordinate clinical services between residential and day programs to ensure behavioral consistency of the individual’s treatment plan across settings
Assist in any clinical program expansion and refinement of existing services including the design of therapeutic technology to further ensure the quality of client care (e.g. specialized lights, sensory equipment, sensory boards)
Provide supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline, and
Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Education:
Masters’ or Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or applied behavioral analysis (ABA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Five (5) years supervisory experience
Five (5) years’ experience in the field supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or medically complex diagnosis (e.g. evaluating new admissions, overseeing and developing treatment plans and coordinating clinical care between providers)
Familiarity with application of behavioral analytic treatment approaches
Knowledge and ability to administer standardized psychological and behavioral assessments with the ability to analyze and report on behavioral data
Demonstrated knowledge regarding the design and implementation of therapeutic technologies
Knowledge in applicable regulations including but not limited to California regulations, Home and Community waiver
Ability to manage processes, develop and initiate actionable strategies that support the company's growth mission
Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) software
Must have current, valid driver’s license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
