Clinical Director

The Clinical Director will perform a full range of assignments related to the field of mental health support services, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. The Clinical Director will oversee and supervise the clinical staff and help with providing support for clients with drug addiction and alcoholism. The Clinical Director will have knowledge of and the ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as knowledge of the program requirements. The Clinical Director is expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the program maintains standards of 65D30, OSHA, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Evaluate existing contract compliance (with DCF) monitoring and reporting to ensure all goals are being met.
  • Regularly review and recommend changes in program services to meet client needs.
  • Oversight of program evaluation and quality assurance functions for department including assessment of applicable legal and professional requirements and monitoring treatment plans for clients.
  • Hiring, supervision, evaluation, scheduling, promotion, correct action of paid and volunteer personnel (interns) within the department as deemed necessary by the COO.
  • Recruitment of clinical interns, conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools.
  • Weekly scheduling completed and reviewed to assure coverage.
  • Regularly provide clinical training to clinical services staff and interns.
  • Assign caseloads.
  • Represent agency in the community, corporate and donor environments as deemed necessary by the CCO.
  • Supervises all aspects of clinical department and ensures that clinical work reflects the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of the agency.
  • Leads quarterly Quality Assurance meetings.
  • Assures that Peer Reviews and Clinical Supervision are completed on a monthly basis or as required.
  • Maintain weekly reviews of staff documentation.
  • Work with other members of the management team to ensure successful communication and coordination between all programs, and participate in strategic planning.
  • Ensures all agency policies and procedures are being followed. Implements corrective actions when necessary.
  • Reviews all client requests and respond within 5 business days.
  • Keeps open communication regarding medication management with Medical Director and ARNP.
  • Prepare and collect charts requiring Medical Director and/or ARNP review and signatures.
  • Analyzes patient records to determine legitimacy of admission, treatment and length of stay in health-care facility to comply with government and insurance company reimbursement policies.
  • Reviews psychosocial for client admission, treatment plan reviews, etc.
  • Must be able to develop and lead in-service trainings on clinical documentation and regulations as required.
  • Must be familiar with 65D-30 and all Out of Network and In-Network provider standards.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in communication and written skills.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Maintains a minimum of 16 CEUs per year in continuing education.
  • Completes assessments, intakes, and orientation as requested.
  • Documents in a legible and professional manner when required.
  • Complete necessary staff reviews and write-ups.
  • Tracks all incident reports to include DCF IRAS reporting system.
  • Must continuously maintain compliance with the agency’s Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics to ensure all ethical and legal requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlines in the Employee Handbook, personnel file and internal communications.
  • Maintain agency’s Code of Conduct, Laws of Confidentiality, HIPAA rules and regulations, and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients.

  • Understanding of Medical Necessity Criteria and writing for managed care


Educational Background & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field.
  • Licensed within the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)
