Commercial Sales Associate

Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full-service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100+ trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, and air-conditioned storage, distribution, and cross-docking services. We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also Value-Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting, and fulfillment needs. The Commercial Sales Associate utilizes their expertise in the industry and their excellent communication skills to successfully acquire and retain new client business for the company. Someone who is naturally self-driven and who sees challenges as an interesting problem to solve would be a great fit for this role.

General Accountabilities include:

• Identify and prospect for new business accounts that fit the strategic company wide growth goal for MRS
• Engage and acquire new business by cold calling, attending in person meetings, and via email
• Utilizing a high level of professionalism and strong people skills in order to build rapport with new or potential clients
• Acting as the face of the company for the customer in order to retain and grow relationships
• Ability to utilize assertiveness and critical thinking skills in order to problem solve
• Must be able to work onsite as needed at the Milwaukee, WI location
• Must be able to travel 10-20% to customer sites as needed
  
  
  

Skills Required:

• Strong level of verbal and written communication rooted in the ability to influence and solve problems
• Internal discipline and drive to put in effective action with a high level of professionalism.
  
  
  

Prerequisites:

• 1+ years of experience in sales in the transportation/logistics/warehousing industry highly preferred
• Familiarity with the food and consumer product industries
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred
  
  
  

Performance Measurements:

• Performance indicators include revenue generation and level of activity via phone calls, emails, client interaction
