Position Overview:As a Construction Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, with a focus on restoration and repair of properties damaged by water, fire, smoke, or mold. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential construction, with a strong background in emergency response to floods or other disasters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, including hiring and managing subcontractors, ordering materials, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and ensure their expectations are met.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budget.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates, address any concerns, and ensure their satisfaction.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all workers.
Stay informed of industry developments, trends, and regulations to continuously improve construction practices and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on restoration and repair projects.
Strong knowledge of commercial and residential construction processes, techniques, and materials.
Experience managing emergency response to floods, fires, or other disasters is highly preferred.
Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction industry best practices.
