Job Title: Construction Project Manager - Commercial Interiors
Location: New York City, NY
Overview:
My client are a respected general contractor specializing in high-quality commercial interior projects throughout New York City. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to delivering outstanding results, partnering with some of the most prestigious clients in the city.
They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial interior construction, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines.
- Manage and supervise all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the efforts of the project team, including subcontractors and laborers.
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards, conducting regular inspections to ensure work meets the company's high standards and client expectations.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing costs without compromising quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, addressing any concerns and providing regular progress updates.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically in commercial interior projects.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
