Controller

Amotec is currently supporting a search for a Controller. Located in Greater Cleveland, our client is a growing manufacturing company. As the Controller, you will oversee all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring compliance with established accounting principles and company policies. This role plays a critical part in providing financial leadership, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving operational excellence.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain robust accounting practices and procedures.
• Supervise general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
• Provide timely and accurate financial and operational reports to senior management.
• Develop and implement internal controls for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Manage tax planning and compliance activities.
• Oversee accounting systems and vendor functions.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Present financial recommendations to management for short- and long-term objectives.
• Conduct financial analysis to support capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications, as well as ERP systems.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic orientation with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
