Position Overview: As a Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance to the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts according to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop long-term financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and policies to support the company's growth objectives.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives and business plans.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results and insights effectively to senior management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally as a Controller or VP of Finance.
Public Accounting Background: Strong foundation in public accounting with experience in auditing or advisory services preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare dynamics and financial best practices preferred.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
