Position Summary:

Our state-of-the-art facility in West Valley City, Utah will produce radioisotopes quickly, efficiently, and affordably. The Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions within the organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting, as well as implementing and maintaining effective financial controls.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Financial Leadership:

• Provide strategic financial leadership and collaborate with executive management to support overall organizational goals.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  
  

Financial Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ensure the integrity and completeness of financial data through rigorous analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
  
  

Audit Management:

• Coordinate and manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors to provide necessary information and address inquiries.
• Implement audit recommendations to improve internal controls and financial processes.
  
  

Compliance and Regulation:

• Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure the organization's financial practices remain in compliance.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to address any financial compliance issues.
  
  

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify opportunities for professional development.
  
  

Cash Management:

• Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring liquidity, optimizing working capital, and implementing cash forecasting strategies.
  
  

Financial Systems:

• Evaluate, implement, and manage financial systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of financial systems.
  
  

Strategic Financial Planning:

• Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and plans, providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements and work with FP&A on operational financial statements for internal profit centers.
  
  

Risk Management:

• Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree and/or CPA designation preferred).
• 5+of progressive experience with ever increasing job responsibilities
• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a Controller or Director of Accounting.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
• High tech, life science manufacturing experience.
• Public company reporting experience preferred (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K preparation and filing experience).
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
