What you'll do:
As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations. Your expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting will be crucial in driving strategic decisions. Additionally, your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders within the organisation.
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company
Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Ensure compliance with financial regulations
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the executive team
Work both independently and as part of a team
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Controller position brings strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management. You have proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Your proficiency in using financial software such as QuickBooks or SAP will be essential for this role. Your excellent analytical skills coupled with your attention to detail will ensure accurate financial reports. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be key to your success in this role. Experience in the food or hospitality industry would be advantageous but not essential.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as QuickBooks or SAP
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the food or hospitality industry is a plus
CPA or CMA certification is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
