About the company and Controller opportunity: This client is a well-established and highly regarded construction company that has experienced tremendous growth and tripled in size with continued rapid growth expected in 2025. We are seeking a qualified candidate for this Controller opportunity with construction experience in a newly created role that will build a department and team. This candidate will play a crucial role in selecting and implementing an ERP system and creating SOPs.

Key Responsibilities Of The Controller

• Manage and oversee the financial operations of a 40+ Million dollar construction company
• Work closely with project managers and senior management to provide accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures to monitor project costs, revenue, and overall financial performance.
• Monitor and analyze project financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost-saving measures.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and financial statements for senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external auditors, lenders, and other financial institutions as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and accounting systems for the project.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements in Bermuda.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for the construction project.
• Provide financial guidance and support for decision-making processes related to the project.
• Oversee the financial team and coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment with project goals.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications Of The Controller Position

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or experience in Construction
• 3+ years of Construction accounting (POC, WIP. etc)
