We have an exciting opportunity as a Cost Accountant in our Warrensburg, MO location. This position will be responsible for daily and monthly accounting tasks reporting to the Plant Controller. These tasks include but are not limited to improving the reporting at the plant, ensure the accuracy of the inventory responsibilities, assisting in creating policies and procedures to be distributed plant wide, assisting in detail analysis, reviewing of plant reporting and location financial data, and supporting interim and year-end audit
requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist Plant Accounting with month-end and weekly close tasks
Annual audit requirements
Internal Control activities and audit to the shop floor
Annual and Midyear budgeting process
Weekly tracking to budget and forecast
Standard Cost and variance analysis
Profitability Analysis, by customer and program vs Budget
Prepare monthly report data for corporate and the management team
Take the lead and coordinate the Annual Physical Inventory
Inventory reconciliation
Coordinate with various departments to process customer, supplier, and intercompany invoices
Perform global intercompany accounting and reconciliation
BOM and process routing audit
Assist in special projects as needed
Fixed Assets reconciliation
Tracking the budget of Capital Expense
Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of applicable experience a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with PLEX, SAP, Oracle, or any ERP.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines
Capable of taking on new, challenging tasks with limited guidance
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly flexible Ability to work and take direction from Team Members at all levels of the organization
Intellectual competencies:
