Are you looking for a Cost Accountant Position? LHH Recruitment is currently looking for a Cost accountant in Overland Park for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role pay $35-$60/hour based on experience and working a hybrid schedule (3days in the office, 2 at home). The cost accountant will be responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations by verifying and completing financial transactions in an accurate, detailed, timely, and confidential manner. Description
• Invoicing products to customers and reconciling revenue
• Maintaining and updating material standard cost
• Account reconciliations
• Journal creation, supporting journals and posting
• Strong analytical skills
• Month-end closings and annual budgeting
• Key role in testing SAP application changes
• Providing and detailing account reconciliation and other activity
• Answering audit questions in a timely and concise manner
• Identifying process flows not working efficiently, and working to change processes to improve the flow
Preferred Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum Experience/Field: Must have at least 3 to 5 years accounting / finance experience with strong understanding of accounting theory and transactions
Computer Skills: Experience working with large ERP/MRP systems would be an asset. Good PC skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ‘excel’ is required
Communication Skills: A skilled communicator with strong ability to positively impact desired behaviors. Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
