We currently have an opening for the following position: Custodian

Overview:

The Custodian is responsible under the general supervision of the General Services Supervisor for all phases of the custodial care of the property including, but not limited to, general cleaning of the rental office, trash areas, common areas, laundry areas and the hall areas, to the end that the property is always maintained in a clean and neat physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation.

Location: University / Student-Housing facility located in South Bend, Indiana

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00a – 3:30p ET. OT and weekends as needed

FLSA Status: Full-time, non-exempt, hourly pay

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the maintenance department and company.
• Wash windows, floors, stairs, treads, handrails, glass in light fixtures.
• Keep toilets, wash basin and urinals clean and stocked with paper in all common bathrooms.
• Keep cobwebs out of corners.
• Ensure that immediate and appropriate action is taken when indicated by any applicable report involving the cleanliness of the project.
• Maintain trash-free property.
• Clean common areas, offices and area in front of building entry(ies)
• Clean Apartment Turns, as required
• Follow all company emergency policies.
• Work within the established work schedule and at other times as needed.
• Ability to work on his or hers own with only normal supervision.
• Assist with minor maintenance duties as necessary and when instructed.
