Job Description
Design & Implement pipelines using Github actions, Azure pipelines and other Cloud Native solutions.
Data Operations Engineer
Deliver IaC using terraform or other CDKs and automate infrastructure buildout per cloud infrastructure specifications.
Participate in the DevOps tools discussion and provide inputs on tool selection.
Help execute on POCs for different CICD tools to help inform discussions.
Help define the cloud infrastructure services and identify the components for automated provisioning (VMs, containers, databases, Kubernetes cluster, networking services etc.)
Participate in Knowledge Transfer sessions to understand the technical components of the legacy and future-state applications
Interface with the security team to understand the proposed security tools for code scanning and application security testing and integration requirements into CI/CD pipelines
Work with Infrastructure support team to assist in troubleshooting security and infrastructure-related issues
Work with software engineering team to evaluate and integrate application testing tools into CI/CD pipelines
Define the CI/CD pipelines for all the stages of application development life cycle using Azure DevOps tools and create a list of tasks for automation in each stage
Evaluate the impacts of application code changes on the system availability
Leverage blue-green and canary release deployment strategies to minimize the disruption from unanticipated deployment issues
Take ownership of the end-to-end application code deployment process and work with software engineering team for resolving any issues encountered during deployments
Understand the existing solutions facilitated by third party vendors and coordinate deployments of their CI/CD pipelines
Research, setup and provide tools for observability and work with operational team in troubleshooting issues related to application/infrastructure
Develop procedures and standards documentation surrounding the DevOps team workings
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, Master’s Preferred
Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in software development or information technology
Minimum 5 years working with cloud-native solutions, preferably with Azure
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Azure DevOps
Knowledge of GCP and AWS
Knowledge of PySpark and python or other scripting languages.
Experience in Digital/Marketing technologies is a huge plus
Skills & Abilities
SME with Data Pipelines, CI/CD web applications and Data science.
Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), PySpark, terraform, BASH and PowerShell scripting.
Expert in working with containers and Azure Kubernetes Service clusters
Experience with GitHub and Azure Repos
Experience working in a scrum environment
Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium
Experience with security scanning tools such as Veracode
Ability to evaluate and recommend DevOps tools
Ability to implement DevOps solutions with GitHub, Azure Pipelines, Azure Test Plans and Azure Artifacts
Knowledge of application code developed in JQuery, AngularJS, React JS, C# and Node.js
Ability to adhere to the DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering best practices
Ability to work with Azure compute services (Azure VM, Docker Containers, App Service, Azure Container Services, Azure Kubernetes Services and Azure Functions) and data storage services (Azure storage and SQL server databases)
Ability to support Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN), Azure Front Door and Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) services
Ability to interpret the reports from code scanning and security testing tools - Veracode, Netspi, RiskSense and Prisma Cloud
Nice to have – AWS and GCP cloud platform experience
Ability to document the processes and procedures
