We are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic about refining or even overhauling components within our already robust database environment. This individual will work in tandem with BI Developers to elevate existing processes and establish new benchmarks of excellence with the introduction of innovative ones.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Spearheaded the technical development and innovation of our database environment.
• Curate database environments to ensure seamless integration with our DevOps process for thorough vetting of new developments.
• Assess all incoming requests for their specific and measurable impact on existing systems.
• Collaborate closely with BI and IT leadership to shape the future of DevOps at SVP.
• Diagnose and resolve environmental issues accurately, working hand in hand with the IT Engineering team.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of all objects and optimizations.
• Assist the Development staff in managing their work through SQL Source Control.

Required Education and Experience:

• Experience in SQL Optimization: 5+ years of experience in constructing SQL optimizations to achieve faster and scalable processes.
• DevOps SQL Environment: 5+ years of experience working in a DevOps SQL environment.
• Database Configuration and Optimization: 5+ years of experience in configuring database environments and process optimizations.
• Team Collaboration: Self-starting and results-oriented team player with a passion for collaboration within a development team.
• SQL Server Data Tool Suite: 5+ years of experience with optimizations and infrastructure related to the SQL Server Data Tool suite.
• SQL Server IAM Administration: 5+ years of experience administering SQL Server IAM.
• Visual Studio Database Projects: 5+ years of experience working with Visual Studio Database Projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Memory Utilization Optimization: Experience with optimizations specifically related to memory utilization.
• SQL Server/Python Interactivity: Experience with optimizing SQL Server/Python interactivity.
• Azure DevOps: Experience working in Azure DevOps.
• ETL Environment: Experience working in a highly parameterized ETL environment.
