Role: Records loan applications and documentation in the data processing system and updates and maintains loan account information. Maintains a good rapport with the existing dealers of the indirect program and keeps them informed of current loan rates, terms and procedures.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
60% Receives and reviews loan documents from indirect dealers. Reviews loan contracts and other documents for accuracy and completeness prior to funding the loan onto the lending software and core operating systems. Responsible for opening new member accounts and paying off related loans during the funding process.
30% Maintains a good rapport with the existing dealers of the indirect program and keeps them informed of current loan rates, terms, and procedures. Ensures the dealers are supplied with the appropriate forms and brochures.
5% Tracks and maintains various lending tasks as directed by management including imaging system for funded loan documents.
5% Other job-related duties as assigned.

To produce loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with accuracy.
To close, organize and complete member loan files in a consistent and timely manner.
To maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's loan standards and governmental regulations.
To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
Knowledge And Skills
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience in lending environment.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills Experience with data processing system and loan processing software.
Proficient with Microsoft products: Outlook, Word and Excel
Basic math skills (capable of adding,, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)
Typing, 10-key and filing skills
Work Environment Work occasionally involves exposure to dust; local travel and time spent outside.
