Role Overview
As a Deputy Chief Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our Department's procurement operations. You'll work closely with senior leadership, influencing statewide initiatives and ensuring compliance with procurement standards. This role offers the flexibility of remote work within Arizona, allowing you to balance professional success with personal flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor our procurement team, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-agency workgroups to develop and implement procurement policies that drive efficiency and excellence.
Serve as a technical expert, providing insights and recommendations on procurement matters.
Negotiate and manage complex contracts, optimizing expenditures and ensuring ROI.
Uphold state and federal procurement rules and regulations, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Required Skills And Experience
Solid understanding of procurement principles and practices.
Experience in government procurement, contract administration, and compliance.
