Our client seeks an experienced and innovative Design Engineer to lead the development,
qualification and deployment of next-generation high-speed printing systems integrating
with reverse osmosis-membrane manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a
proven track record in the design and implementation of manufacturing equipment,
experience in web handling, and expertise in automation and system integration. This
role involves conceptualization of innovative design solutions, coordinating with
equipment vendors, ensuring seamless integration of the equipment within the broader
manufacturing process, and applying efficient project management.
Design and Conceptualization:
Gain a deep understanding of current and future processes and technology, including their benefits and limitations
Lead the creation of innovative and efficient printer equipment designs specifically for water filtration applications, focusing on process speed and reliability
Expertise in Automation:
Use your expertise in automation to optimize the integration of automated processes within equipment design
Implement solutions for efficient and precise automated functions
Feasibility Analysis:
Conduct detailed feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of proposed designs, with a focus on automation
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address specific challenges related to water filtration membranes, printing, and automation
Prototyping and Testing:
Build and test prototypes to validate the design's functionality and efficiency
Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and iteratively improve designs
Materials and Components Selection:
Select appropriate materials and components for equipment design, ensuring compatibility with water filtration requirements and automation components
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations related to water filtration, printing, and automation
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, water filtration specialists, and automation experts
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of equipment design, with a focus on automation
Stay informed about advancements in automation technology and its applications
Documentation:
Prepare detailed documentation, including design specifications, engineering drawings, and technical reports
Maintain accurate records of design iterations, changes, and adaptations of process equipment
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that equipment designs meet relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications related to water filtration, printing, and automation
Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting all relevant technologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in equipment design, with a focus on production equipment, web handling, and automation. Familiarity with large-format printing is a plus
Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements
Ability to innovate and think “outside the box
