The Dallas office of Perkins Eastman is searching for talented designers (Architect Designers II) with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our growing practice. Individuals who are ready to engage, learn, and contribute to our vibrant and supportive office culture are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Opportunity

This position will provide an opportunity to work with integrated design teams on both international and domestic work and expand the versatility of the Dallas office. Project types of range in size and complexity within the following markets: Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, Senior Living, Higher-Ed, Office, and Large-Scale Mixed Use. The individual selected must possess the ability to react positively to a variety of design priorities, styles, and project delivery methods. Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in design exercises in Master Planning, Site Planning and Building Design utilizing, 3D Modeling, and Digital Presentation Packaging.
  • Ability to perform design computations as necessary that evolve our design capabilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of physical models and graphic presentations for client approval.
  • Assists the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents.
  • Prepare program and schematic proposals, project layouts and develop designs in 3D using Revit, or other 3D modeling software for client review/approval.
  • Assist with preparations of construction drawing and construction detailing.

Required Qualifications

  • Has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an Accredited School.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant architecture experience
  • Can develop, communicate, and present design concepts to their team.
  • Has strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
  • Has experience with site planning and zoning analysis.
  • Can demonstrate proficiency with Revit, Affinity Suite, SketchUp, Lumion or Enscape, and other related design and presentation software. Rhino and other related design software is a plus.
  • Flexibility and a self-starter type of drive are key traits to success in this role as you can expect to be working between staggard phases on different projects.
  • Displays design strengths / talents but has a desire to contribute at all phases of the project.

Type: We are in the office as much as possible (M-Th) and will be looking for team members that want to learn and gain knowledge of the profession.
