THE POSITION

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Protos Security is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, Continuous Improvement,to join our dynamic team. The Director will be responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of our services. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in process optimization, value stream mapping, visual management, metrics analysis, root cause analysis, and a proven track record of implementing successful continuous improvement programs.

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality across all departments within Protos Security.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize process improvement opportunities using methodologies such as value stream mapping and root cause analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify process improvements with potential software enhancements and explicitly define needs for the software development team.
  • Implement visual boards and metrics to track progress and performance, enabling data- driven decision-making and real-time visibility into key operational metrics.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and provide regular progress updates to Executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to establish clear process improvement goals and expectations and provide guidance and support in achieving these goals.
  • Act as a change agent, guiding employees and leaders through process changes, and ensuring successful adoption and sustained improvement.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, empowering them to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues and develop sustainable solutions for process inefficiencies.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices related to continuous improvement methodologies and tools and apply relevant strategies to enhance Protos Security's operations.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, value stream mapping, visual management, metrics analysis, root cause analysis, and change management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing continuous improvement initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Methodical and systematic approach to work and the ability to apply logic to processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) knowledge and ability to use Excel to provide reporting in various forms. Proficiency in data validation/sorting, formulas.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.

Travel

Travel may be required. Travel is expected to be less than 30%. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Compensation

Compensation includes base salary and a discretionary, performance based year-end bonus. The Company offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, etc.
