Position Summary: As the Financial Aid Director (FAD), you will be the driving force behind our Financial Aid Department, responsible for overseeing and administering Title IV programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures. Your role will be instrumental in expanding access to healthcare education and positively impacting the lives of our students and the communities they serve.

Responsibilities

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure students are served ethically and in alignment with Concorde's Code of Ethics and Core Values.
  • Lead, train, and support staff in all aspects of financial aid administration, including counseling students and parents, estimating financial aid outcomes, and managing funds disbursement.
  • Enhance students' financial literacy through effective management of the entrance and exit process.
  • Manage allocation to prevent over or under-awarding of funds.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions Director to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Oversee the employee evaluation process and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in key processes and maximize the use of information technology.
  • Handle escalated student situations in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Supervises 3-8 employees including Assistant Director of Financial Aid (if applicable).

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

  • Business Acumen/Financial Aid Expertise: Proficiency in federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations.
  • Strategist: Ability to work collaboratively to achieve strategic goals.
  • Relationship Builder: Establishing trust and professional relationships within and outside the organization.
  • Problem Solver/Decision Maker: Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Staff Development & Team Building: Developing and mentoring your team for success.
  • Talent Manager: Identifying and nurturing talent within the department.
  • Effective Communicator: Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with a commitment to receive a BA degree within 24 months
  • Experience: Title IV Administration experience and three years in a supervisory role. Title IV proprietary education experience preferred.
  • Must not currently be in Default on any Federal Student Loans
