Our client has an immediate need for a Compliance Payroll Sr Manager. The candidate should have 5+ years (Compliance) experience in this type of role including experience working with past organizations of 5K employees or more.
**The role is hybrid in the Northern suburbs**
Summary:
The role is accountable for the oversight of specific HR Compliance functions and serves as a subject matter expert centered primarily on Compensation and Pay Practice Compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate & Consult with Legal, HR, Payroll, and others for FLSA compliance questions and issues and to review policies and practices as they relate to this and applicable state wage & hour requirements.
- Respond to any Department of Labor wage complaints by investigating the merits of the complaint and preparing response to DOL along with supporting evidence to document company position to either to pay or to contest the complaint.
- Coordinate with HR Operations to prepare reports required by state Pay Equity requirements including federal EEO-1 reports, US Census Reports and responds to state agencies inquiries or audits involving wages, compliance, etc...
- Help review pay plans and make recommendations for improvements to ensure talent is compensated accordingly.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure that state required notices for new hires, existing employees and terminated employees are communicated accurately.
- Helps with recording keeping of related legal documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience in HR/Payroll, Compensation and Retirement Plan Compliance. Legal background a Plus.
- Experience in a multi-state environment (prefer 25+).
