The Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategy to ensure the cost-effective acquisition of capacity and services essential for their 3PL operations. Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Planning

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Conduct market analysis to identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities in the logistics industry.
• Lead the procurement team in sourcing and negotiating contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  
  

Vendor Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
• Evaluate vendor performance regularly and manage risk to ensure continuity of capacity.
• Develop and implement vendor management programs to drive performance improvements and cost reductions.
  
  

Cost Management and Budget

• Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
• Monitor procurement spend and generate regular reports on cost savings and procurement activities.

• Ensure procurement processes and policies are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the logistics or 3PL industry.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
