This position is with a newly acquired, private equity-backed group located in the St. Louis area. As a site-based, consumer-facing services organization with over 40 locations, the company is seeking a Director of Real Estate & Construction to spearhead various strategic initiatives supporting its aggressive expansion strategy.
GEOGRAPHY - The ideal candidate is located in a few hundred mile radius of St. Louis and is open to some travel.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects, ensuring rapid and efficient execution.
Provide steady leadership amid uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines, especially in a rapidly growing company through denovos and acquisitions.
Establish a pipeline of denovo locations aligned with the organization’s priorities.
Oversee the planning, execution, and success of denovo launches, including:Defining timelines, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and success metrics.
Facilitating daily coordination, steering committee meetings, and communicating roles and responsibilities to key functional leaders.
Monitoring project health using project dashboards.
Driving the escalation and resolution of critical project-related issues impacting launch dates.
Document and communicate key learnings from denovo launches, both positive and negative, to the executive management team.
Support the execution of the company’s acquisition strategy, including identifying acquisition targets and supporting diligence workstreams.
Assist with various special operational projects, such as facility renovations, relocations, and footprint planning.
Qualifications/Education/Credentials
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Proven ability to build and lead diverse, distributed teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple locations.
Experience in developing workplans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to aid in project planning and execution.
Ability to promote innovative ideas and take necessary risks to lead change.
Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with minimal supervision.
Capacity to make independent decisions and assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.
Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and financial skills.
Effective consultative and influencing approach.
Ability to implement change swiftly.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
