JOB DETAILS:
The New Hampshire Liquor Commission’s NextGen solution is a significant implementation of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. At present, Dynamics 365 custom reports and forms, Power BI dashboards, and SSRS reports are used to fulfill reporting where current volume of needs exceed resource capacity. This contracted resource is needed to bring in expertise to assist in additional development. There is also a need to facilitate a re-introduction of self-service data analytics across business workstreams. There will also be a need to ensure best practices are following with the in-house operations team related to the configuration, implementation, and administration of the Power BI platform.
Experience specifically with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations modules, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Retail and Commerce, Sales, Marketing, Inventory Management. Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, and SSRS development experience required. Certified D365 developer preferred.
Responsibilities Include
The D365 Applications Technical Specialist will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and growing our reporting needs Power BI platform. The main focal area of this position will be to advance the future state of self-service analytics. The person in this role isn't just developing reports - they must have the high-level experience and understanding to be able to determine the optimal course of action for each report, and the ability to determine which type of report makes the most sense in specific scenarios.
Develop D365 custom reports and forms using X++ or SSRS.
Develop Power BI reports for business organizational units.
Guide personnel interested in developing Power BI dashboards using Power BI and DAX.
Establish and promote best practices for dashboard and data set development and publishing (location, layout, dataset access, DAX usage, security, performance tuning, naming conventions)
Optimize Workspaces and datasets to promote ease of self-service, and provide a secure, structured organization of workspaces, apps, data sets and dashboards.
Advance access control, and data security capabilities in accordance with EBI, DoIT CSG and individual State Agency’s security consideration.
Coordinate with Microsoft Unified Support and other team members when troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.
Assess, build, and optimize new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and DAX as required to triage issues, or to recommend improvements.
Self-starter, can troubleshoot complex data problems, brings strong analytical skills with a focus on detail, thoroughness, and quality and must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently.
Sees long term analytical business needs as primary focus, acts with a sense of urgency to resolve issues, identifies what needs to be done and takes action before being asked.
Energetic about pushing the boundaries of what is possible, he or she proposes and implements innovative improvement opportunities and ideas to evolve the BI platform.
