King & Spalding seeks an experienced e-Discovery attorney to join our Discovery practice. This position offers the flexibility to be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices; remote work locations will also be considered.
For more than 25 years, King & Spalding has been at the forefront of developing high quality, cost-effective solutions to the challenges of collecting, reviewing and producing documents in complex litigation. The Discovery Center has been in continuous operation since 1995, serving more than 500 companies, including some of the largest in the world.
Candidates should have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and be actively licensed and in good standing with a state bar. Qualified candidates will possess the skills necessary to work hard, do high-quality work and expand the type of work performed. Candidates must have the ability and discretion to protect confidential Firm and client information from disclosure or misuse.
The e-Discovery attorney will have the following responsibilities:
Be the point of contact for clients
Develop and execute project plans for each stage of the EDRM
Collaborate with clients and technology providers to leverage AI technology in the e-discovery platform
Implement custom workflows to reduce client costs and enhance speed-to-evidence for clients
Create and refine standard documentation, including ESI protocols, Protective Orders, review protocols, training guides and review workflows
Manage review teams and provide them with necessary feedback and guidance to deliver industry leading speed and accuracy
Guide team leads and train them to foster a collaborative team environment that identifies and solves problems for clients and review teams
Experience:
Experience in all phases of the EDRM, including identification, preservation, collection, review, and production.
Experience in conducting interviews with IT, developing, and implementing a preservation strategy
Experience in negotiating ESI protocols
Experience in conducting custodial interviews.
Experience in drafting and testing keyword searches.
Experience in document review management at a law firm, in-house legal department, or consulting firm
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Managing multiple fast-moving projects at a given time
Adapting work schedule to support global client engagements in various time zones
Solving problems with an analytical approach to provide solutions to clients
BS or BA required
Juris Doctorate degree required
Active licensed lawyer in the US jurisdiction of residence
