We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a fast-growing company who is adding new customers at a rapid rate in the New Braunfels / Seguin, TX area! This Engineer will be responsible for designing custom generator enclosures, power distribution centers, and fuel tanks to meet the unique needs of our clients. The ideal candidate should have ten years of experience in engineering, with a strong background in electrical design and systems.
Responsibilities
Custom Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and design custom solutions for generator enclosures, power distribution centers, and fuel tanks.
Electrical Design: Develop electrical designs and systems for power distribution within enclosures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Structural Design: Create structural designs for enclosures and tanks, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity, durability, and safety.
Material Selection: Select appropriate materials for construction, taking into account factors like environmental conditions and client specifications.
Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for proposed designs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Project Management: Oversee the engineering phase of projects, ensuring designs are executed according to plan and within budget.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the final products meet our high standards for performance and reliability.
Documentation: Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and construction teams.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with industry regulations and codes, ensuring designs adhere to safety and environmental standards.
Client Collaboration: Maintain open communication with clients throughout the design process, addressing any questions or concerns.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of ten years of engineering experience, preferably in power generation or related industry.
Strong background in electrical design and systems.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (AUTOCAD) software.
Knowledge of structural analysis and materials selection.
Project management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
This position does not have any direct reports.
Base Salary $140,000 - $170,000
Experience designing power generator systems, power distribution centers, tanks.
Experience creating structural designs for generator enclosures.
