Engineering Manager

We are currently looking to hire an Engineering Manager for our client, one of the world’s leading industrial materials companies whose products are critical to the modern economy and carbon reduction. Their materials are essential to the low-carbon, electrified technologies that power modern life, which you will find in products from electric cars to wind turbines.

The primary role of the Engineering Manager includes leading critical engineering responsibilities for project planning, design, and execution to optimize manufacturing operations.

Below is a list of the key responsibilities for the role, whilst not exhaustive, that you’ll need to be able to perform.

• Providing strategic technical direction and leadership to ensure complex engineering initiatives within budget and schedule.
• Developing comprehensive project plans, scopes of work, and budgets aligned with organizational goals.
• Leading engineering design reviews to ensure adherence to manufacturing standards.
• Resolving complex engineering challenges and optimizing design solutions for equipment performance.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to procure materials, negotiate contracts, and ensure project standards.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or other relevant discipline, and technical leadership experience for CapEx projects within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills, communication skills and in-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards are all key for this role.
