Enterprise Application Engineer

The Enterprise Applications Engineer, under the direction of the Enterprise Application Portfolio Manager, will help implement the technology initiatives and support the vendor-based technology roadmap. The Enterprise Applications Engineer will manage and provide technical leadership of projects involving large-scale, complex, and highly analytical tasks. The Enterprise Applications Engineer must understand and incorporate the various internal system architectures and technologies as well as external technical dependencies. This individual will be a full stack developer and will serve as an expert by performing work requiring a very high level of technical knowledge of a specific area or ability to integrate at a high level the knowledge of several areas. This role will design and support building key components of our application landscape, as well as supporting vendor supplied software. This individual will serve as a lead technical resource across projects and interface with both internal and external teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, engineering, and continuous development and improvement of our vendor-based technical landscape.
  • Lead efforts of implementing new vendor supplied applications, upgrade existing applications, preventative maintenance, and ongoing support.
  • Lead the diagnosis of technical issues and facilitates support incidents with internal/external parties until issue resolution with root cause, as needed.
  • Lead internal technical review sessions covering design, code, configuration, and knowledge transfer for responsible systems.
  • Lead and guide writing of technical documentation and develops, implements, and ensures industry best practices are followed.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of various vendor-based applications, including routine health checks.
  • Serve as the technical evangelist for products within the Firms application portfolio.
  • Create and develop automated approaches for common/repeatable tasks and workflows.
  • Routinely evaluate currently implemented technologies and recommend modern replacements that reduce cost of ownership where appropriate.
  • Serve as a technical leader of the engineering team in systems design, integration, testing, and implementation.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive background in implementing large/complex applications/platforms (10+ years of related experience)
  • Extensive background in engineering experience (10+ years of related engineering experience).
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience developing solutions using Azure Power Apps/Power Automate, Visual Studio Code, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, OData, npm.js, Gulp, PowerShell, CSOM, JSON, PNP/PnPjs, web hooks and related technology.
  • Proficiency in .Net, JavaScript, C#, Azure DevOps/GitHub.
  • Experience migrating infrastructure and large systems to cloud technologies, preferable the Microsoft Azure Cloud Architecture.
  • Experience with Microsoft Cloud Technologies (Azure, Office 365) and Legal Vendor applications (NetDocuments, Intapp, Litera, Aderant, Workday, ContractExpress, etc.)
  • Strong experience with SQL Database administration, maintenance, support
  • Experience with identity and access management architecture, security operations architecture, infrastructure security, governance, compliance, risk management, security architecture modeling and application security.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, including database principles
  • Familiarity with APIs and data feeds
  • Available for after hours implementations and 24/7 support when critical issues arise.
  • Must understand project management principles and budgeting.


The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations are also listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:


San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $131,750 - $178,250 per year


Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $119,000 - $161,000 per year


Salt Lake City and all other locations: $105,400 - $142,600 per year
