A Construction Manager/General Contractor specializing in commercial building projects across various sectors is seeking a dedicated and motivated Estimator to join the team. Responsibilities

Leadership:

Coordinate with Interns, Architects, Operations Management, and Owner's Representatives for preconstruction services, ensuring projects are delivered at the lowest reasonable cost while maintaining compliance with contract documents.

Guide projects from preconstruction into construction, providing an organized estimate for the field team.

Organize and lead OAC preconstruction meetings and manage meeting documentation.

Mentorship

Communicate the company's Vision, Mission, and Values to gain support.

Mentor, motivate, and guide team members to achieve personal, professional, and company-wide goals.

Teamwork

Support Business Development efforts by maintaining client relationships and offering technical expertise.

Engage with co-workers professionally, mediate conflicts, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Business Development

Develop and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and Project Stakeholders.

Schedule Management

Create and manage preconstruction phase schedules, identify long lead items, and coordinate with the operations team.

Identify and procure long lead time equipment/materials to avoid schedule delays.

Budget Management

Develop conceptual estimates and present to Owners and Design Team.

Complete detailed and accurate estimates at each design phase.

Analyze market conditions, provide cost savings ideas, and oversee constructability reviews.

Manage the GMP process, including subcontractor coordination.

Subcontractor Management

Outreach and maintain positive relations with subcontractors.

Manage subcontractor solicitation, selection process, and post-bid interviews.

Presentation Skills

Participate in project interviews, representing the company professionally to win negotiated work.

Technical Skills & Training

Mastery of Sage Estimating, iSqFt, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam PDF, Asta Scheduling, and Viewpoint/Vista Software.

Strong knowledge of Exporting Sage Reports, Viewpoint/Vista Job Cost Reports, Modelogix, Geotechnical/Soils Reports, PPRBD Permit Process, and Mechanical Systems.
