We are looking for an Estimating Manager MEP to join our team. The Estimating Manager is responsible for developing and managing the strategy for accurate and timely estimates for MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) projects. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in the MEP industry and a strong focus on providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be organized, customer focused, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the strategy for accurate and timely estimates for MEP projects
Analyze market data to ensure estimates are competitive
Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements with subcontractors and suppliers
Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects including materials, equipment, labor, and other costs
Identify potential challenges and risks associated with projects and provide solutions
Manage and coordinate the Sysque Modeling process
Facilitate AutoBid Integration with subcontractors and suppliers when applicable
Provide leadership and guidance to the estimating team
Analyze data to determine the most cost-effective solutions and approaches
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of related experience in estimating in the MEP industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, plumbing, ductwork, and insulation
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
