The Role:

Redgate is looking for an experienced Events Marketing Manager to plan and execute innovative and impactful events for our customers and prospects in the AMER region.


Reporting to the Head of Events (based in Cambridge, UK), you’ll be a strategic team player within the global Brand and Communities team. You’ll co-lead our third-party events strategy and manage a small team who deliver Redgate’s attendance at international third-party conferences, as well as our own hosted conferences and events.


Redgate’s events take place across a range of geos and our engagement leaves a memorable impression on attendees, while promoting Redgate as thought leaders, showcasing us as community champions, and generating pipeline for Redgate’s commercial regions. As you’d expect in a fast-paced events marketing management role, you’ll have plenty of responsibilities.


Relationships are important at Redgate, so you’ll need to establish a network and collaborate with peer Events Marketing Managers, regional Marketing and Sales Managers and Directors, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.


We operate from a flexible hybrid model, that supports a healthy work-life balance. For this role, we’re looking for candidates who live close to our Austin office.

Your Work at Redgate Software:

  • Event marketing and event management for Redgate’s AMER events program; including third party events, regionally hosted events, and supporting with PASS Summit
  • Plan and drive the event strategy to support the AMER region and align event KPIs with business goals, and regularly keep track of and report on event performance
  • Manage, coach and mentor a small team based across different regions, and ensure the overall AMER events program is executed within budget and timelines
  • Develop incredible working relationships with Redgate’s globally distributed Event Managers and unite to ensure Redgate’s events offer memorable event experiences that upskill and educate the data community
  • Be a trailblazer for Redgate’s event best practices and ensure event standards are being followed at all AMER events
  • Collaborate and establish relationships with peer events, campaigns and marketing managers, Sales managers, as well as other internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with brand, graphic and video designers, and web developers to produce digital and physical marketing collateral and campaigns to support the fulfilment of event objectives pre, during and post event
  • Travel to events and lead event crews and manage all aspects of production and delivery of events on-site where needed
  • Keep up to date on other competitor/community events and relations


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Significant experience and a proven track record in event marketing management, ideally in a tech-orientated/B2B company, with experience of in-person expos, conferences, community and bespoke events
  • Demonstrated multi-project experience, including managing deliverables, budgets, and handling contracts, invoices, payments, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail with excellent content and copy writing, and proofing experience
  • Excellent computer skills, confident and experienced in using MS Office and the ability to learn new tech quickly, including: Salesforce, Marketo, Monday.com, Kaltura and Rainfocus online event platform
  • Genuine interest in technical events and conferences and a willingness to travel overseas to manage event crews at events and able to present welcome briefings at events as necessary

  • Socially competent, reliable, trustworthy, proactive team player, self-motivated, and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and collaboration skills, with experience and confidence influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders across teams, including marketing, sales, finance and legal

Salary:

  • $95,000 - $135,000 USD
