The Event Specialist will produce and execute a range of events including in-person client-facing events, sponsorships, and any other events associated with their assigned markets. The specialist will be responsible for the concepting, scheduling, planning, project management, marketing, logistics and communications for all events, ensuring alignment with Littler branding, business development opportunities and customer service expectations.
The Event Specialist primarily works on a remote schedule with occasional on-site pre-event work required approximately 1-4 times per month. This position can be resident in Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, or Cleveland, OH.
Key Accountabilities
Serves as the primary events point of contact for assigned markets, working with local attorneys and staff to coordinate a variety of internal and external events, sponsorships, tradeshows/conferences and support for select firm-wide initiatives.
Administers all aspects of event planning for assigned programs (pre-event, on-site and post-event activities) ensuring events are on budget and reflect Littler’s high quality standards regarding the client experience, inclusive of venue, service and food & beverage.
Collaborates with regional business development teams to track and analyze events and business development activities to capture ROI and report to key stakeholders, along with marketing and business development (MBD) leadership, as needed.
Provides backup event support to other markets and corporate, when needed (e.g., during LOA situations, resource shifts, etc.).
Responsible for compliance, reporting, tracking and data updates in firm-wide tools (e.g., Interaction, Microsoft Dynamics, NetDocs, SharePoint, etc.).
Travels as needed to assist on-site with live events up to 3 times per month. This requirement may vary depending on market demand.
Collaborates with internal teams – Graphics, Web, CRM, Webinar and IT – to successfully brand, promote and execute events.
Assists with interdepartmental project requests, event communications and pre- and post-event follow-up responsibilities.
Responsible for submitting events for CLE hours and HR certification, including eligible courses for HRCI, SPHR and SHRM credits.
Technical Skills And Competencies Required
The ability to manage multiple events with a strong emphasis on project management.
High-level attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to use Excel and PPT and have a strong grasp of MS Office functions.
Ability to proficiently create, edit and proofread communications and event deliverables.
Strong professional presence; capable of engaging credibly and effectively with attorneys. Ability to communicate with all levels of staff in a clear, professional and articulate manner in written, in-person and virtual interactions.
Successful track record of working independently and collaboratively in remote and in-person work settings.
Education And Certifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience Required
Minimum 4+ years corporate events experience required; professional services/law firm experience preferred
