Job Description

Position Title: Executive Director

Reports To: TBHLT Board of Directors Classification: Exempt

Role Overview:

The Executive Director is pivotal to the success of TBHLT, collaborating closely with the Board of Directors to ensure TBHLT's relevance to the community and the achievement of its mission and vision.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, overseeing all related documentation.
  • Implements TBHLT's strategic plan, executing board policies, and addressing problems and opportunities.
  • Directs income-generating activities, including the Community Behavioral Health Conference and grant writing.
  • Identifies avenues for collective community impact on mental health improvement.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of nonprofit management and governance.

Performance Measurements:

  • Annual achievement of budget goals.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience: Three years in a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to motivate, collaborate, and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Other Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and change management abilities. Comfortable with diverse perspectives and experiences.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is typically sedentary with occasional light physical tasks such as walking, standing, or driving.

Work Environment:

  • Favorable office conditions are typical. Hybrid remote work environment available.
