Legal.io is working with a leading A/V company that is seeking to engage an export and trade compliance resource on a 6 month initial contract, for 20 hours per week.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations of the company's denied party screening (DPS) program of approximately 120k-150k records.
  • Work with legal stakeholders to understand the legal and regulatory requirements that the company must comply with.
  • Investigate denied party screening matches that arise from screening solution, disposition accordingly, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Work with the business, IT, screening provider, third-party service provider (presuming that we do not bring this in house) to understand the business needs, gather and prioritize requirements, identify opportunities, and help design and implement systems and solutions that meet identified requirements.
  • Manage roll-out of automated DPS screening across the company (e.g., Via SAP, E-commerce, and Coupa).
  • Manage roll-out of new DPS screening solution, when necessary.
  • Identify and manage implementation of process enhancements (e.g., IPP SFDC integration of DPS data, .net handler redesign, passing of DPS data to SAP, customer onboarding procedures, downstream automation of business functions).
  • Identify and work with business to resolve data issues that cause problems for DPS screening processes (e.g., duplicate accounts, foreign language characters, hidden/hexadecimal characters).
  • Troubleshoot system functionality with IT and screening provider and ensure issues are resolved timely.
  • Oversee performance of third-party service provider against process and SLA requirements.
  • Provide training and oversight to IT help desk, service provider, and the business.
  • Support IT help desk with user enablement.
  • Provide training on how and when to manually screen customers and third parties.
  • Provide training on how to disposition hits in screening solution to third-party service provider.
  • Audit sufficiency of automated and manual screening processes (i.e., looking for gaps and process breakdowns), third-party disposition activities, third-party screening activities (e.g., bank/payment processors), and effectiveness of the DPS screening solution’s algorithm.
  • Report compliance metrics quarterly.


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of technical program management experience (process management and improvement, project planning and technology implementation); experience in compliance programs a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce/SFDC, system integrations and data management (cleanup/analysis activities)
  • Direct business analytics experience not required but must have an understanding of and be able to work collaboratively with such functions
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or related field
  • Experience working collaboratively with third-party service providers, IT and business stakeholders
  • Ability to gather, prioritize, capture and implement requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
