Position Title Faculty - English (Full Time Temporary)

Class Summary
Responsible for providing instruction within the Humanities Department. Develop and revise curriculum and coursework. Provide scheduled office hours for student consultation, and maintain open and consistent communications with students. Attend Department meetings and other mandatory College events. Participate in mandatory College training and professional development.

Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Master’s degree in English or closely related field, or master’s degree in any field with at least 18 graduate hours in English.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Experience teaching at a community college and working with diverse student populations. Experience with dual-credit and online instruction.
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of principles and practices of teaching. Detailed knowledge of material being taught in the specific course and program area; communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisors, the general public, etc., sufficient to exchange or convey information and receive work direction. Computer literacy sufficient to perform job duties.

- Meet classes as scheduled.
- Complete grading of course assignments and tests and issue student grades as scheduled in a timely manner.
- Post and maintain office hours for student consultation.
