We currently have an opening for the following position: Maintenance Technician
Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager or Community Manager for all phases of general repair maintenane, physical condition of the property and the preventative maintenance programs of the property; to ensure that the property is maintained in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation.
Location: This role will travel to sites between South Bend and Elkhart, Indiana on a regular basis.
Schedule: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm, On call rotation required
FLSA Status: Full-time, non-exempt, hourly pay
The Perks:
Customer Service – The technician will work directly with tenants on work order processing. This includes the inside of their apartment unit.
Curb Appeal – Strong curb appeal sells. This role is responsible for upkeep of the exterior including grounds, trash, and snow removal.
Preventative Maintenance – We must be proactive with preventative maintenance of the facility to ensure the asset is protected. This includes inspections, monthly preventative measures, etc.
Work Orders – Work orders range from something as simple as changing a lightbulb to more complex orders such as replacing an HVAC system. Bradley Company will provide training and mentorship in this role.
Turn Units Timely – When a tenant moves out of their unit it is the technicians responsibility to complete a “turn” checklist, which includes inspecting the unit and light repair, painting, drywall, appliance change-out, etc.
