Full Stack Developer (Magento)

This role is with an affiliate company of Smith. It is not at Smith.

Applicants are required to have Magento experience and live in the Houston area. The position is located on the west side of Houston.

Applicants without Magento experience will not be considered for this role.

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Developer with Magento 2 experience to join our team. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, focusing on improving and expanding our ecommerce platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Ecommerce Platform Development: Lead end-to-end development of our eCommerce platform using Magento 2, ensuring robust and scalable solutions
• Front-End Development: Design and implement user-friendly interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
• Back-End Development: Develop and maintain server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness using PHP and Magento 2
• Integration Management: Implement and manage integrations with third-party services and enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and payment gateways
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize application performance to ensure fast and efficient user experiences.
• Security Assurance: Implement best practices in security and data protection
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions on time
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our platform

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Magento 2 Expertise: Extensive experience with Magento 2 development, including customization and module development
• Full Stack Proficiency: Strong skills in both front-end and back-end development, with expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React/Angular), PHP, and MySQL
• API Integration: Proven experience in integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise systems (such as Boomi)
• Version Control: Proficient in using Git and understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of additional ecommerce platforms and frameworks
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and improve
