Coates Kokes is looking for a graphic designer with strong illustration skills to join our creative team. This is a full-time, hybrid, graphic design position.

Desired experience – The candidate will have or be:

·      A strong illustration/graphic design portfolio

·      Ability to sketch designs

·      Concept out-of-the box advertising ideas, sometimes in collaboration with other team members

·      Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

·      Good communication skills with a team-based approach

·      Detail oriented with excellent project management skills


Bonus experience – The ideal candidate will have:

·      After Effects and animation experience is a plus

·      Understanding of HTML, WordPress, Squarespace is a plus

·      Interest in public health and cause-related work

·      Passion for learning, growing and sharing information


Responsibilities include – The day-to-day of the job:

·      Design and illustrate for a wide range of agency accounts at the same time

·      Create materials for websites, social media, branding and collateral

·      Design long-format documents that have quick turn-around times

·      Problem-solve design challenges with other team members

·      Communicate design thinking clearly to internal staff and clients

·      Contribute to the agency’s mission-driven culture


Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this job is $45,000-$70,000, based on experience. Coates Kokes has a hybrid work environment. Currently, Tuesday is an in-office day and we come in for additional client meetings and project work as needed. Starting in the fall, we will have two in-office days in addition to other client needs.
