HARTFORD, CT (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) Dual working family near Hartford, CT are seeking a caring and sophisticated LIVE-OUT NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER for their two children, ages 5 and 2 years old. They want a nanny who puts safety first, and truly loves working with children. They hope to find someone that is interested in growing with a family long-term. Both parents have demanding careers with sometimes unpredictable schedules so flexibility is a must. The ideal candidate is highly invested in the children's wellbeing and has their absolute best interest at heart. Flexibility with possible additional hours and weekend calls may be needed, and the occasional date night would be appreciated!
Both children will be going to school soon from 830am - 330pm, so someone who has a background in education and early childhood development would be preferred. Since the eldest will be starting school, help with homework and school projects will be needed. The family is hoping to find a nanny to grow with them, helping the children learn and develop along the way.
Working hours will be from 1230pm - 630pm, ideally, Monday-Friday (this is adjustable and open for discussion, with a split schedule also being an option). Running errands and household chores will be done during the hours that the children are not home. Light meal prep will be very appreciated, no cooking necessary. The family will provide a vehicle for any driving necessary. General tidying and organization in the home will be required, along with anything that will help the household run more smoothly such as family laundry and household organization. In-depth cleaning will not be necessary as the family has a regular housekeeper.
Pay is $25-$30/hour, commensurate with experience. Paid sick days, vacations, and major holidays will be included. All vaccinations and boosters are required.
