Position Details
The Housing Coordinator serves as manager of housing property, oversee and coordinate all functions including but not limited to: physical building, marketing, financial management, leasing/occupancy, tenant relations and daily operations.
Physical building inspections. Prepare for and participate in all physical building inspections by regulatory agencies including but not limited to: HUD, MHFA, and City of Perham.
Conduct annual unit inspections with maintenance staff. Follow up on maintenance issues and/or corrections needed in unit.
Monitor and maintain building safety and security.
Process admissions and lease agreements as per HUD requirements
Enforce lease agreements.
Track vacancies and turnovers to maintain occupancy at optimum levels.
Maintain accurate records of security deposits, including collection of, interest earned and refunds issued.
Ensure HUD rent schedule compliance.
Complete annual recertification of tenant households as scheduled and submit as required.
Complete interim certification as change in the tenant household's income indicates and submit as required.
Submit property housing assistance vouchers as required monthly.
Enforce eviction/termination as per lease and HUD requirements.
Maintain and retain tenant files and records as per HUD requirements.
What You Offer
Must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills and exhibit the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
Must be flexible and be able to work under stressful situations.
Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Pass a background study through the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
Full-time position; 80 hours per biweekly pay period.
Primarily Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm with varied hours at times to accommodate needs.
